How long does it take to complete the listing process on SellYourHome.ca?
Listing steps are very straight forward. It will take about 10-15 minutes to complete the online forms. If you are buying the Premium listing, the yard sign is shipped after 24 hours to allow for sign customization and print your phone number on it. You can install the sign by yourself or request SellYourHome.ca staff to install it for you at no additional cost.
What is a Friendly URL Address?
Friendly URL Address (aka FURLA) is an easy to remember web address. When you list your property with SellYourHome.ca your listing will have a listing ID. To give you a web address for your property that is easy to remember and advertise, we provide you with what we call a Friendly URL Address (FURLA) is the form: www.sellyourhome.ca/listing_id. So if your listing ID is 123 then your FURLA is www.sellyourhome.ca/123 . This address will appear on your yard sign, on your flyers, and you can also advertise this it on your Facebook, Kijiji.ca, MySpace or any other print or online media.
Can I edit my listing anytime?
You sure can. You can change photos any time you want; you can even change your thumbnail photo selection, delete images, replace images, and edit every single listing detail.
You can send an email to support@sellyourhome.ca with the new information, update will momentarily during business hours and 24 hours otherwise.
How many pictures I can upload?
For Basic listing, you are allowed 3 pictures. For Premium listing you are allowed 25 pictures.
What types of pictures are allowed? GIF and JPEG format only.
What if I don’t have any pictures yet? Your listing thumbnail will say that no pictures available for this property. You can add pictures as they become available.
Can I schedule an Open House? How often? Yes and as often as you like. Slots available are Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 PM.
Why doesn’t my listing appear on the front page of SellYourHome.ca? Only when you chose to buy the Premium package, your property will be shown randomly on front page. Choosing the featured properties to list on our front page is random.
How do I access the legal forms when I sign up online? Once you sign up for Premium package, the forms will be emailed to you. We will also send you hard copies by mail.
Can I upgrade my listing from Basic to Premium anytime? Yes you can. In your control panel there is a link: Upgrade Listing. You will be prompted to pay for Premium package. Activation is instantaneous.
Why is SellYourHome.ca cheaper than any other FSBO marketing firms?
SellYourHome.ca is
an online business with no physical office location. All yard signs
are stored at our sign printing company who provides printing, storage
and installation. Our sales reps work from home. This means saving
in expenses, we pass those savings to our clients, yet we provide
an unmatched customer support.
I listed my property, now what?
You will receive an email confirming
your listing. The email includes your username and password to access
your control panel where you can edit your listing information, schedule
an open house, upload photos and much more. Expect to receive emails
from potential buyers and maybe Real Estate agents if you sat your
listing to welcome Real Estate agents.
I found a property that I like, now what?
If you find a property that you like, simply use the web form on the property detail page to send an email to property owner. The property owner will email you back or call you. You can then arrange to view the property with the owner directly. Make sure you leave your phone number on the form. Our job is to connect buyers and sellers.
Not with us. What you pay for the package is all what SellYourHome.ca charges you. There are however the costs of selling your property. These costs could be for examples, lawyer fees and inspection fees etc.
Login to your control panel and mark your listing as SOLD. You cannot delete the listing. We will delete the listing 3 months after it has been sold.
